LiGA Summit 2026 Brings Peru Gaming Leaders to Lima

With the inaugural LiGA Summit 2026 just under two months away, the Latin American gaming industry is gearing up for a major gathering of operators, regulators, affiliates, suppliers, and technology providers in Lima, Peru, on 17 – 18 September 2026 at the El Pardo Lima - A DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel.

As part of the lead-up to the summit, Eventus International will host a must-attend LinkedIn Live webinar on 4 August at 11:00 Peru time (18:00 CEST), providing an early opportunity for speakers to examine key market developments and regulatory trends shaping Peru’s gaming sector.

Another major highlight of the agenda is the Prediction Markets Summit Americas 2026, a dedicated half-day stream taking place on 18 September alongside the LiGA Summit. The stream will create a platform for open discussions around prediction markets, forecasting infrastructure, and event-based products within regulated gaming markets.

Featured Exhibitor: Global Business Company de Peru S.A.C.

Among the companies participating and exhibiting at the first edition of the LiGA Summit is Global Business Company de Peru S.A.C., a prominent Peruvian company with 10 years of experience in the LatAm region. Their office is located in the city of Lima, from where they provide advisory services for business development, investment promotion, and projects in the gambling, regulatory, financial services, and value-added services sectors.

Global Business Company de Peru S.A.C. has provided services to companies from the United States, Europe, and Asia operating across the LatAm region in the B2B, B2C, and B2G sectors. They have advised regulatory institutions such as COLJUEGOS in Colombia on technical and commercial matters related to the regulation and launch of instant lottery games (Scratch & Win), bingo, and online lottery products. In Peru, they have worked with regulatory authorities, such as MINCETUR's General Directorate of Casino Games and Slot Machines, on sports betting and online gaming, while also providing training and coaching services in these sectors.

The company’s CEO, Jonathan Felix, who will be taking the stage at the summit, is an international speaker, industry commentator, experienced executive, and entrepreneur with extensive knowledge of the Latin American gaming landscape. Ahead of the event, he shared exclusive insights into Peru’s market evolution, emerging opportunities, and the importance of regional collaboration.

On the key market trends Global Business Company de Peru S.A.C. has observed shaping the gaming industry in Latin America, particularly in Peru, Jonathan stated:

Currently, the Peruvian market is 100% regulated across the entire gambling and games of chance sector. It is a mature and highly competitive market with games that have more than 240 years of history, development, and evolution, such as lottery games. Over the past nearly 20 years, the evolution and growth of sports betting and online games have broken paradigms, driving sector growth and creating an active community of millions of players throughout the country.”

With Peru entering a new era of regulation for online gaming and sports betting, he touched on the opportunities and challenges emerging for operators, suppliers, and investors:

“Peru is one of the seven attractive markets in the LatAm region, along with Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Venezuela, Colombia, and Chile. It has friendly laws and regulations that promote investment and the entry of new stakeholders and investors. For this reason, there are currently 49 B2C-licensed companies authorised by MINCETUR to operate sports betting and online games, 4 B2C-licensed companies authorised by the Ministry of Women to operate lottery games, and other new companies that are about to start operations in this sector.

There are also over 600 land-based casinos authorised by MINCETUR. Therefore, the challenge for new operators and investors is focused on designing business plans and commercial strategies that are disruptive and outside the usual format to overcome the existing paradigms, open the market for new brands, and gain significant participation in the coming years.

Having worked with both industry stakeholders and regulatory institutions across Latin America, Jonathan highlighted the importance of collaboration in building a sustainable gaming ecosystem:

We see that regulators are starting to move towards greater collaboration and experience sharing in the region, but there is still a long way to go to develop more specific actions like fighting illegal gambling, preventing problem gambling, and constantly adapting according to market evolution and consumer behaviour.

B2B and B2C companies are involved in this task, providing technological and operational services to the market, through which valuable experience is gained regarding market evolution, new trends, fraud prevention, and key feedback for regulators regarding illegal gambling and ways to minimise problem gambling. There is a lot to be done in the region, but there are signs of willingness to strengthen collaboration between the government and private sectors.

As international companies continue exploring opportunities across Latin America, he shared some key considerations for entering and expanding within the region:

First, study and analyse each market to identify opportunities for developing new businesses and investments, looking at the stakeholders that are already operating, how they are doing it, and the reference profitability. Second, thoroughly review the laws and rules that regulate each market, or their absence. Third, define the business plan and commercial strategy adapted to the reality and opportunities of each market to achieve entry with calculated risks and a medium- to long-term profitability projection that allows operations to remain stable.”

Finally, with Global Business Company de Peru S.A.C. exhibiting at the LiGA Summit, Jonathan revealed what he is most looking forward to and what attendees can expect when connecting with his team in Lima:

“We hope to learn from the experiences of the stakeholders who are currently operating in the market, share our knowledge and experience, and enrich the vision and commitment to business development and new investments in the competitive Peruvian market.
